		<description>My experience at Rendez-Vous was better than i expected. I wasn&#039;t expecting it to be fun, but I was still excited to go. It was something not to miss. During Rendez-Vous, I felt like i was at home and not many people can say that. I had amazing workshops and I got to learn new things. I learned a lot about the earthquake in Haiti and how people are doing after it. It was really good because today on the medias, they don&#039;t really talk about it anymore. One of my favorite things about Rendez-Vous was meeting all the new people. They are people i wish i had as friends and people i wish i can see everyday. Everyone was so nice there and no one judged others, it was a such an healthy environment to be in. I didn&#039;t want to leave. Another good thing about Rendez-Vous was worship in the morning. Waking up at 7am to eat then go to worship at 9am was the best feeling ever. It woke us up and just hearing everyone&#039;s voice in the theater sounded amazing.

If I had the choice to go back to Rendez-Vous any day, i would say yes in a instant. To me, it&#039;s the best place anyone can ever be. Words can&#039;t even explain how amazing rendez-vous was for me. It changed my life and I&#039;m pretty sure everyone else that attended it can say the same.

		<description>&quot;It only takes a spark to get a fire going... And soon all those around can warm up in it&#039;s glowing... That&#039;s how it is with God&#039;s love, once you&#039;ve experienced it... You spread His love... To everyone... You want to pass it on.&quot;

This is part of a song I learned on a United Church Cursillo weekend, a song which for me, encapsulated what I felt at Rendezvous 2011. I am extremely thankful to have witnessed God&#039;s love for the youth in the United Church (and me! I&#039;m coming up on 35) during this magnificent time of worship and praise. I pray for God&#039;s spirit to continue to move amongst all, and help move us in the United Church of Canada towards building a community of faith, hope and most importantly love, for many, many generations to come. I am reminded here and now of the foundations laid long before I arrived, by my parents and grandparents, great grandparents and Jesus, and will strive in the church&#039;s ministry and witness to God&#039;s love, continuing to lay this foundation for all who will follow in our footsteps. Thanks be to God for this beautiful and wonderful church we can call home, and for the many friends we&#039;ve met and haven&#039;t met (yet!) along the way.

		<description>Rendez-vous gave me the inspiration and energy I needed to sustain me for at least another year of youth ministry. This would not have been possible without your support.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
God bless you!

		<description>Hi Jen and Lisa,

Here is my blurb about Rendez-Vous.

Rendez-Vous 2011 was amazing in every way. You could start a conversation with anybody, without even knowing their name. The staff were very helpful and organized. The speakers were very inspirational and everyone gave a different message. My favourite story was that Roger found God in New York City and he is a tall, handsome sanitation worker in a bright orange jumpsuit! The workshops were great, there was a variety of choices and themes to fit every person. My favourite activities during Rendez-Vous were the workshops. The ones I participated in were Sacred Stories and The Impact One Person Has. In Sacred Stories, I learned to respect my neighbour and that nature is also my neighbour. In The Impact Of One Person, I learned not to single myself out as one person only, and not to discourage myself if I have an idea.

Rendez-Vous was awesome. I will not forget this experience and I am looking forward to the next one.

Thank you to everyone who made this event happen and helped me get there.

		<description>If you search for the meaning behind what God wears, where he works, and what he does for a living, Rendez-Vous 2011 was the place to be.

We all, in one way or another, search for God. Whether we find ourselves embarking on a spiritual journey through the deepest of our thoughts or find God in others, it is and always remains a suitcase of revelations that we carry around with us everywhere we go. The Rendez-Vous experience has allowed me to fall a little deeper into that “zone”. The feeling of being in an auditorium filled with 500 other young people and adults, and to feel the energy literally bouncing off of your skin, is a very gratifying and mysterious one. But also to combine this message with self-motivation -- the self-conditioning that we are all deserving and worthy of our biggest dreams -- is almost impossible to comprehend without actually having been there.

Over the course of the four days at Rendez-Vous I was inspired to love, be loved, and embrace every degree of difference that separates me from others. I was given the opportunity to appreciate green space through clean-up service in the parc. I was told not to diminish myself, because one person can have an impact on this world. And, most importantly, I was reassured that I am the house of Jesus Christ.

All in all my gratitude for this event is inexpressible. I’ve gotten the chance to build new friendships, explore the sights of Toronto, and take in food for the soul. To all of the organizers, volunteers, speakers, funds, and institutions - thank you for inviting us into the most precious space that we have all grown to love and cherish over this short time. For us witnesses I think the message we take home is that our relationship with God must be replenished everyday. It is an ongoing process. You find more of Him everyday.

We all need to make the effort to keep that renewal process going.
