Selected Americal Sign Language (ASL) Resources and Resources for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired

(Note that ASL signs are typically shown as seen by someone who is viewing the sign, and thus not as seen by the person signing.)
* First 100 ASL Signs: About 100 signs frequently used between parents and young children. From Dr. Bill Vicars' LifePrint.com online curriculum resource for American Sign Language students, instructors, interpreters, and parents of deaf children.
* Learn How to Sign ASL: A course on "How to Sign ASL", consisting of a series of lessons dealing with many different topics. It also has a limited Dictionary of ASL Terms, by lesson or alphabetically.
* Learning American Sign Language (ASL) and Signed English (SE): Three series of lessons dealing with many different topics. Also has a crossword puzzle and two word search puzzles (here and here) in ASL.
* Sign the Alphabet and Numbers: This shows the hand signs made to sign individual letters (A, B, .., Z) or numbers (0, 1, .., 9).
* ASL Alphabet / Alphabet Song - Canadian Version: The alphabet is shown and sung.
* ASL Pro: A resource for teachers. Also has religious and conversational dictionaries, ASL for babies.
* Baby Sign Language: Baby sign language with yout infant or toddler.
* The Interpreter's Friend by David Bar-Tzur. A long list of resources in many different areas, including Resources for religious/spiritual interpreting: Christianity.
* A Basic Dictionary of ASL Terms: A dictionary of more than 1270 words which show the hand signs made to sign each word. (It is based upon the ASL Browser, see below.)
* ASL Browser - A Full Dictionary of ASL Terms: A very extensive dictionary, with thousands of words which show the hand signs made to sign each word. The dictionary has text definitions, explaining how to make the sign, as well as animated signs, which show someone actually signing the word. Please note that you may have to install the Apple QuickTime plug-in for your browser to view the animated signs.
* ASL Fonts: Download fonts of the alphabetic symbols used in ASL for Macintosh or Windows.
* SLanT (Sign Language Teacher) software: A free Windows program to test your finger spelling.

* MAB-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs for Children, Youth, Adults and Seniors in the greater Montreal area.
* Montreal Oral School for the Deaf: offers both direct and indirect intervention to hearing-impaired students according to their needs and abilities.
* Information on Deafness: Valuable, easy to read resources for parents and teachers of deaf children, including very small children (from the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center).
* Deaf Resources: Finger spelling game, ASL eCards, many products for the deaf and hearing impaired.
